There are a few institutions and learning pathways you can pursue to study this qualification. Below you can see a list of institutions that offer a qualification in this field of study.

**Remember that there is no set structure in this qualification; it will differ from institution to institution.

Public University

At a university level you can study the qualification in the form of a Bachelor’s Degree over the course of 3 to 4 years. The following institutions offer these courses.

According to the US News, the University of Cape Town is ranked 143 in the world and Witwatersrand is ranked 155 for the BA in Film & Media qualification.

University of Technology

At a university of technology level you can study the qualification in the form of a Diploma certificate over 3 years. The following institutions offer these courses.

Private College

There is also the option of studying at a private college. Here are some institutions that offer Film and Media courses.

For this route, take note that there is usually no government funding available for private colleges. If you are looking to study at a private college you can consider looking at student loans or other funding opportunities.
