The world of numbers is infinite, and so is the fascination it brings. It is the unmistakable universal language. Numbers are everywhere – when your budget, when you tell the time when you measure something – and yet, all of this evolved from 10 basic man-made symbols: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10. As a numbers fan, you probably spend your free time reading about binary codes, and enjoy calculating probability – for example, the probability of your toast landing on the buttered side!

Though the common perception is that numbers are strictly for logical and organised thinkers, this is untrue. Numbers open the door to extremely abstract and mysterious worlds, and shouldn’t be limited to either rational or impulsive individuals.

Those of you who are lovers of numbers should also explore careers in the fields of science, problem solving, or design. But any business (be it a children’s party organisation or a beauty salon) needs to know about numbers, at least to keep the books in order.
