How to Build a CV

Welcome to this project-based course! We’re happy to walk this exciting journey with you. When applying for an internship, job opportunity, a bursary or anything that requires you to showcase who you are and what your skills are - you will need to submit a CV. Chances are, if you’re in high school or just starting out at university, you won’t have a lot to add to your CV. Your CV is the single most important document that will help you get a job. Join us as we work together to create a professional CV to start your career off on the right foot.

At the end of this course, you will:

  • LO2: Differentiate between information to include and exclude in a CV
  • LO3: Write a competent, exemplary cover letter
  • LO4: Create an industry-specific relevant CV
  • LO5: Put together a professional CV

This is a project-based course. This means that instead of being assessed in the form of a quiz, you will work through various tasks aligned with the content of the course. The purpose of the tasks is to ensure that you grasp a practical understanding of the content.
