2. Rock Climbing
The rock-faces of Waterval Boven are arguably unparalleled by any other on the Highveld for rock climbing. Whilst rock climbing is one attracting activity; mountain biking and hiking are also prominent in the area with tracks that explore the breathtaking kloof. Anyone with a passion for the outdoors definitely needs this location on their bucket list. Camping is only R70.00 per person per night while staying in one of the comfortable chalets is R700.00 per night (each chalet can accommodate 4 people). Note that the dirt road to the farm is rough so a vehicle with sufficient ground clearance is recommended although not a necessity.

For those interested in indoor rock climbing check out The Climbing Barn, a mere 25 minute drive from Hatfield, Pretoria. Located in the farmlands of Mooiplaats, The Climbing Barn is a great place for a beginner or experienced climber to have a fun day out. 3. White Water Rafting
Definitely an activity for the thrill seekers, the white water rafting on the Crocodile River is exciting, adrenalizing and well-worth the money. It is located about 35 minutes from Pretoria and should be on every fun-lover’s bucket list. The day trip covers a 12 kilometer stretch of river over approximately 18 rapids.
